Volunteering with Garden by the Sea
Here is an opportunity to combine your love of gardening with a much appreciated contribution to your community. It will require a commitment of your time and talent, respect for your fellow volunteers, and a positive attitude. In return, we hope the volunteer experience at Garden by the Sea will provide you with a supportive environment, the opportunity to learn new techniques & skills, and the respect & gratitude you deserve for your services. Different Ways to Volunteer and Help
- Come to monthly work parties that are not only productive, but social and fun!
- “Adopt” a flower bed or other common area of the garden to weed and water during the growing season
- Volunteer to help at a fundraising function, or other community activity
- Be a support person at an educational workshop
- Lead a garden talk on a topic you are knowledgeable about
- Donate garden tools or supplies to be used in the garden
- Donate an item for the annual silent auction
- Help with harvesting, weeding or watering the food bank beds
