Garden by the Sea is planning a number of projects over the coming year. Being a non-profit we typically do not do those projects until we raise the money to fund them. That is where your help comes in.
The projects range from replacing the rusty fencing to buying new tools & equipment to purchasing mushroom compost for our gardeners’ use. We would very much like your financial support on any of these projects.

Fundraising Need: CHILDREN’S BEDS
SUPPORT FREE CHILDREN’S BEDS
As part of GBTS’ commitment to teaching the next generation the love of gardening, we offer a set of children’s beds free to local schools and youth organizations.

This fund will help defer the costs of soil, bed maintenance and educational help to youth organizations that utilize these beds. Please consider donating to this fund to support the next generation of gardeners!

Fundraising Need: COMPOST & SOIL
COULD USE DOUGH FOR DIRT
Each year GBTS purchases good quality dirt and compost to help enhance all of our garden beds and charges a fraction of the costs to gardeners. To keep this amount small, please consider a donation to the “dough for dirt” fund.

Fundraising Need: RUSTY TOOL REPLACEMENT
CAN YOU HELP REPLACE OUR RUSTING TOOLS?
For use by all gardeners each year, GBTS needs to buy new tools/equipment to replace those whose rust and ruts have made them useless.
Please consider a donation of $10 or $25 (or any other amount)
The Ocean Shores weather takes a big toll on GBTS equipment from hand tools to wheel barrows. Some of them have gotten to the point they are best used for “garden art” than tilling the soil.
This fund is also used to purchase new hoses and watering heads. Please consider donating to this fund so we can maintain good tools and equipment for our gardeners to use year round!

Fundraising Need: GENERAL MAINTENANCE
HELP WITH GENERAL MAINTENANCE
By helping with general maintenance costs you help us keep the yearly bed rental costs low.
Please consider a donation of $10 or $25 (or any other amount)
It is the major cost budget item for the garden. The fund will cover costs for mowing the public areas, purchasing wood to replace the rotting bed boards, rental on the toilet, providing picnic/sitting areas, and replacing water timers.
