Benefits of Community Gardening
| |
When it comes to year around fresh produce, we grow it!
Many of our urban and rural neighborhoods live in “food deserts” – places where it is nearly impossible to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. At GBTS, we offer individuals and families healthier lifestyles; fresh produce and opportunities for exercise and fellowship, a cleaner environment, a stronger community, and many educational opportunities throughout the year presented by our garden board members and certified WSU Master Gardeners right ...

We Need Volunteers
|
|
Do you happen to have an hour a week to spare this summer? Please consider volunteering at Garden by the Sea! Working in the garden allows people to combine their love of the outdoors with a much-appreciated contribution to the Ocean Shores community. We work with individuals’ personal schedules, interests, and abilities to accommodate their needs. Here are a few of the most common ways you can help. - Come to the garden one day per week to water during the summer.
- “Adopt” a flower bed or other common area of the garden to regularly weed and water during the growing season.
- Attend work parties that are not only productive, but social and fun!
Thank you for considering volunteering at Garden by the Sea. We humbly thank our great community of volunteers and gardeners for all they do to keep the garden growing and looking beautiful! And many thanks to the individuals, businesses, and organizations in North Beach that not only support us financially, but also by sharing their experience and wisdom. If you want to sign up to volunteer, please call 425-255-4025 or email at info@GardenByTheSeaOceanShores.org .
