Garden by the Sea Newsletter #3

Dear Members & Friends,

You might think winter is a time for all Garden by the Sea volunteers to rest and relax.  We do relax physically … but our thoughts soon rest on how we can do better this coming new garden season!

Our March 20th official 2021 Garden Opening is right around the corner.  It is a time for existing gardeners to renew their plot rentals and for new gardeners to join the community garden.  This year, due to Covid-19, sign-ups will be by appointment (more Garden Opening information below).

Our garden “elves” have been hard at work fixing up plots, pruning shrubs, pulling weeds, and even installing security cameras for us.  Their goal is to have the community garden ship shape and ready for the new season!

I hope you enjoy the “When-to-Plant Tips,” “Blueberry Pruning,” and “Gardening 101: Easy Crops” articles below.  Also, check out our Garden Opening signup information too.

I personally want to thank all of you for your interest and support of Garden by the Sea, and I look forward to seeing you in the garden soon.

Karen Young,

President
